Ex Rodeo is a Twin Cities rock trio blending outlaw swagger with cinematic atmosphere. Grant James (bass/lead vocals) and Christoph Bruhn (guitar/lead vocals) are longtime collaborators who previously wrote, recorded, and performed as Quarterback Club and created the live theater production Aquanaut Variety Hour. They are joined by drummer Dave Smith, a respected veteran of  the Minneapolis scene known for his dynamic feel and precision. The band delivers high-energy sets built on big hooks, driving rhythms, and immersive soundscapes. Their debut full-length record, recorded with local engineering guru Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recording, arrives in mid-2026, and the band is actively booking in support of the release.
